Our Dairy

At the moment, we milk around 2450 Holstein cows. They are milked three times a day in a system called a rotary milking parlor. Double S Dairies is a family owned and operated dairy that was built with the dedication and hard work of Joost and Monique. They practice excellent management and stewardship of their employees, cows, land and are continuing to work hard to improve their stewardship of their dairy operations. Double S Dairies looks for ways to improve their use of the land, cow comfort and management, and employee management through innovative and new technologies and responsible dairy farming.

We seek excellence in taking good care of our animals and therefore strive to produce the highest quality of milk in an efficient manner. We believe what is best for our animals is also best for our employees, our business and our future. 

It is our ethical and moral responsibility to take the best care possible for our precious animals. Appropriate cattle welfare and adequate cow comfort largely contributes to optimal health and performance of cows on our dairy farm.
